It's time once again for the Junior Solar Sprint. The Junior Solar Sprint is a model solar car race for grades 6 to 8. Area students design, build, and race their own cars. Teams from across southeast Massachusetts are invited to attend the Cape and Islands 3rd annual race, held June 3rd from 9am-1pm at Cape Cod Community College. The competition is great, but the real reason students are involved is to learn; therefore science, environmental, or energy organizations are also invited to attend. There will be spaces set up for groups to present educational materials to race participants, their families, and the general public. If you are interested or have any questions please call Self-Reliance at 1-888-808-0120 or email the Junior Solar Sprint Coordinator, peregrine_carlson@hotmail.com.
