Are you interested in energy efficiency, the economics of energy and the environment? Do you want to share your passion with other teachers? Would you like to join a dynamic team of Energy Educators? The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Energy Smart Students program is looking for enthusiastic trainers to introduce our highly interactive energy curricular materials throughout the state. We invite you to apply to become an Energy Educator.
NYSERDA offers a stipend for workshop preparation and delivery, as well as reimbursement for travel expenses. In addition, expenses for materials/supplies to deliver the workshops are covered by the program.
Applications MUST be received by May 23, 2008. Selected Energy Educators will be notified no later than June 13, 2008.

All Energy Educators are required to attend the Energy Educator Institute being held July 21-24, 2008 in Albany, NY. At the Institute, educators will be trained to work with the energy materials, learn how to conduct the Energy Smart Students workshops, and enjoy interaction with other team members. NYSERDA will cover the cost of hotel rooms, meals and travel expenses.
***Please help the Energy Smart Students Program pass this exciting opportunity on to interested and qualified professionals in your field. We are looking for K-12 educators, professional trainers, community educators, retired teachers, etc. to add to our team.***
