GIRL SCOUTS: HELP MAKE OUR PLANET CLEAN AND HEALTHY NOW!
Massachusetts Girl Scouts have the power to help make our air, water and land cleaner and healthier for all!

o Learn- What is renewable energy?
o Explore-Visit a local clean energy site and interview the host.
o Act- Share what you?ve learned.

The Clean Green Power Patch introduces girls to alternative energy sources. Girls meet and interview someone who has chosen clean, renewable energy or energy conservation strategies at their site. Then they complete an art, science, or communications project and use it to get the word out to others about how clean, renewable energy is here now, is working, and is growing.
All the tools you?ll need to get started are available on-line at
<a href="http://www.nesea.org/education/gscleanenergy/">http://www.nesea.org/education/gscleanenergy/</a>
You will find resources, ideas, locations of local sites (over 100 are listed!), and inspiration on how to earn your free patch while doing your part to save the earth.
Program starts January 2006 !
This new, free patch has been developed by the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association in collaboration with the Girl Scouts of Western Massachusetts and is funded by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative.
A similar program for other youth is currently in development.
