This section is arranged by general topic, then by specific goals you might have for your curriculum. We highly recommend that you browse the resources using the menus at right, but if you want to search for a keyword, enter it here: Please enter only one word or a single, contiguous phrase.

Welcome visitors!

These goals are updated frequently, so check back often.

You are about to enter a hypertext document that intends to provide any teacher with goals and ideas for a unit of any length about energy production and use. From educators like you, and from you yourself if you like, we are gathering materials to answer each and every question in the document.

For example, if you want to assign a research report this semester, select from the menu "Research Papers," perhaps the item "What are some good questions for a research paper?" Upon selecting that item, a page opens in this area, showing a brief answer to the question, documents we provide, and links to other sites with answers.

For each goal there will be a link to allow you to open a printer-friendly view in a new window; this is useful if you want to print the page without the frames above and to the left. Also note that any links to outside sites open in a new window, so that you can easily return to this site in the same state.

To return to this welcome-message, just click "Teachers' Goals" in the menu above.

If you were expecting a site full of pre-fab lesson plans, look for one in our Links page. "Teachers Goals" has the broader goal of helping a teacher plan the entire curriculum, even beyond the coursework.
