Abstract
This book has been written to provide teachers with a range of activities to help them to teach about energy at Key Stage 2 (UK) with an emphasis on sustainability and alternative technologies.
Provides non-specialist teachers with interesting and fun activities, with an emphasis on sustainability and alternative technologies. Many of the activities have practical relevance and involve the use of inexpensive scrap materials. The six chapters deal with: sun; water; animals; plants; storing and conserving energy.
The activities include investigations, experiments, games, design-and-make projects and demonstrations. Also included are photocopiable sheets for pupils to use in class or take home. There are numerous helpful diagrams to illustrate the text.
