JETS TEAMS Event: Smarter Energy. Cleaner Planet.

by Megan Balkovic » Fri May 20, 2011 4:42 am

JETS invites all energy teachers to become a coach and let their students participate in the 2011 TEAMS Competition: Smarter Energy. Cleaner Planet.

TEAMS will help your students make the connection between math and science to real-world issues, have a fun and unique learning experience and discover their potential for engineering while competing for state and national awards and recognition.

As an annual national competition, students in in grades 9-12, will have the opportunity to discover engineering and how they can make a difference in the world. Student teams work collaboratively to problem-solve real-world engineering challenges, applying their math and science knowledge in practical, creative ways.

In 2011, students will tackle energy and the global need for diversification, efficiency, security and ecological sustainability.

Get involved and become a TEAMS Coach today! Registration opens in September at www.jets.org/teams. For questions, please contact Megan at mbalkovic@jets.org.
