Portable Fuel Cell System

Post by Brooke »

I am looking for a portable system. I will need the fuel cell and the means to store hydrogen. I will be running the fuel cell backwards and making hydrogen.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Can you give us more of the context of your project? You make it clear that it needs to be portable, but how big, how heavy, how powerful a stack, and how much energy to store?
Is it for education? For what goals?
Are the items at the FuelCell Store useful?

Unfortunately, most fuel cells do not operate in a reversible mode. The fuel cells that have been designed for this are the smaller units, typically 300mW to 1W in power. I second Shawn, check out www.fuelcellstore.com , they may have some other suggestions for you. I know they have several options for reversible fuel cells with hydrogen storage.
