i am a retired librarian,
and am interested in writing a children's book--

(k-3) and/or a low reader/high interest type of book
on alternative energies.

is there a listing of such books ?
-published post 2000

re: energy books for k-3

I've heard this question before.
There certainly is an explosion of books for grades 4-8 about energy, but very few k-3. I haven't ever taught below the 4th grade, so I am not an expert on what's appropriate.
The "True Book" series on Environment and Conservation by Christine Petersen are appropriate for grade 3 according to online sources.
You can search through our Bibliography, but as of August 2007 it doesn't have anything else for the youngest readers.
