Solar Kit for the Classroom

Give your students the tools they need to understand solar energy technologies. Join NESEA staff on Tuesday, November 30 from 9:00am - 12:00pm at the Adirondack Ecology Center of the Northern Forest Institute SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry Center in Newcomb, NY and become familiar with solar energy concepts. Test out the experiments and give your students the tools they need to understand solar technologies.  This workshop supports NYSERDA's School Power...Naturally 15 Solar Kit lessons found at www.SchoolPowerNaturally.org.  Registration is required. At the workshop educators will receive:
- engaging, hands-on science and engineering activities that support New York State Learning Standards and Core Curriculum, addressing specific performance indicators; and
- a free energy education kit and support materials for your classroom, center, or institution.

All workshops and materials are free to classroom teachers and non-formal educators living and/or working in New York State, within NYSERDA's service territory through sponsorship by the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority (NYSERDA).

These workshops are part of the Solar Sails New York Project: an Expansion of Solar and Wind Energy Education for School Power...Naturally. This program is organized by NESEA and sponsored by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
