Increasing demand for energy resources and the environmental impact of energy consumption are among the most relevant and interesting topics in science today. This one-day workshop will provide an opportunity to learn about and discuss energy geoscience topics, including climate change, nuclear power, clean coal, shale gas, and geothermal energy. Workshop presenters will introduce these topics and explore ideas for integrating energy science and policy into geoscience courses. Workshop participants will work together in small groups to share and develop teaching ideas and materials appropriate for classrooms, labs, and field trips.
