Bioenergy and Bioproducts Train-the-Trainer at Cornell
The Bioenergy and Bioproducts Education Program (BBEP), which offers Professional Development programs for educators, is seeking motivated STEM educators, grades 6-undergraduate level for summer programs. Teachers in training, In-service teachers, and Extension Educators are all encouraged to apply for the programs, especially the Train-the-Trainer program.
Participants in the Train-the-Trainer program will attend a training program at Cornell from June 10-June 29 and then will assist in teaching other educators at a workshop at different location for 2 weeks. Thus, the Train-the-Trainer program requires a 5 week time commitment. During the training at Cornell, housing, food and travel costs will be covered. A stipend of $3000 will be provided for support during the 2 weeks off site.
Other opportunities include one-week workshops and internships at our partner institutions, both of which also offer funding.
Among the benefits provided by these programs is the opportunity to learn Sustainability, Bioenergy, and Bioproducts content, gain experience with hands-on lab experiments, network with other educators, and to receive financial support!
