KidWind REcharge Labs

Need help addressing NGSS energy and engineering standards? Want to learn more about energy concepts, climate change and how renewable energy can make an impact? Do you want to learn how to use wind turbines in your classroom? With support from EDP Renewables, REcharge Labs is hosting a FREE 6 hour Training for educators to develop a robust understanding of energy concepts and issues while digging into the science and technology of wind power. This 6 hour workshop will cover energy based content combined with practical classroom activities that make it easy to bring renewable energy to your classroom. What can you expect?

Materials are geared toward middle school and high school teachers
We will use KidWind and REcharge Curricula, KidWind Generators, KidWind Turbines, Vernier Equipment
All teachers will receive $100+ in classroom equipment
We will prepare teachers for the KidWind Challenge in Portland in December 2015 What is a KidWind Challenge?
Teachers do not need any prior knowledge of wind energy. They will learn about how wind power works and how to implement activities in your classroom.
