Supporting Scientific Inquiry and Engineering Design with Advanced Learning Technologies

You are invited to a three-day professional development workshop funded by the National Science Foundation to learn how advanced learning technologies can be used to empower authentic scientific inquiry and engineering design in your classroom. You will have the opportunity to work at the human-technology frontier and get firsthand experience with powerful science and engineering apps that we have been developing. These apps support students to explore in the virtual world and in the physical world, assisted by artificial intelligence, computer vision, and big data technologies. Come to experience how learning may be transformed by cutting-edge technologies and help us improve these technologies to benefit even more students and teachers!

The workshop will be held at the York Harbor Inn in the picturesque town of York Harbor, Maine. The workshop will begin with lunch on Sunday, October 28, and will run through Tuesday, October 30, at 3 p.m. Lodging, meals, and mileage reimbursement will be provided and participants will receive a $400 stipend for completing the workshop.

If interested, please complete this application by September 21 . Note that we only have 25 spaces available, so we will review applications and confirm attendance by October 1st.
