STEM Club Share-a-thon

The STEM Education Center invites you to join the STEM Club - a PD series for current and aspiring STEM teachers. The STEM Club meets on Wednesday afternoons, from 4-6:30 pm at WPI. Each club meeting is led by a teacher presenting a STEM project s/he conducted in the classroom; participants get to try, exchange ideas, make connections, and leave with a project they can try in their classrooms.

Each session includes projects that solve "real world" problems and incorporate both STEM Standards and Practices so they can be easily adapted to a variety of classrooms. Past Topics have included: Mitigating Natural Hazards, Designing a Water Filter, Developing and Using Models, Engineering Structures, Electricity Exploration, Engineering a Bike Helmet, Materials Exploration, Designing a Skateboard, etc...

2019-2020 Topics will be voted on at our STEM Club Share-a-thon, Wed. Sept 18, and announced shortly after that date.

Cost is per school/district: Once one person from your school/district pays for the session or series, everyone else from the same school/district comes for FREE! (Please be sure that everyone still registers so we know how many people to expect and can plan accordingly.)
• ​Club participants: $25 per session/$80 for the entire STEM Club series (10 PDPs)
• Club presenters: FREE Club participation if you present a project at the STEM Club
• Scholarships available
