I'd like to let everyone know about a new resource for climate education.
The Climate Change Research Center at the University of New Hampshire is
producing a monthly podcast entitled ClimateCast. The show features news
stories gathered from recent scientific journals, interviews with leading
researchers, and a unique question and answer segment. The show can be
accessed by going to
http://airmap.unh.edu/outreach/ClimateCast
As with
all podcasts, you can either subscribe through the provided rss feed, or
listen to individual episodes in the mp3 format. Once we have a few more
episodes archived, I will also be indexing the shows by subject matter in
hopes of making it easy for you to match a particular show with a given
class topic.
If you are, or become, a listener, please help me to improve the show by
providing feedback. Although it is out there for the general public, I
have tried to focus on high school students as the primary audience. Also,
if any of you would like to have your class participate in the question and
answer segment, please contact me.
Thanks,
Erik
