The deadline for this year’s Volvo Adventure environmental award for young people is approaching. Any environmental project is eligible provided that:
* It is a practical environmental project
* The young people are aged between 10 and 16 years of age
* They are working in groups of two to five people
* Young people are actively involved in devising and managing the project.

Organised in partnership with United Nations Environmental Programme to provide international recognition for young people’s practical action, successful groups will win an all-expenses paid trip to Sweden, where they present their projects to an international jury and their agenda for action to UNEP. For these young people, the Volvo Adventure offers a chance to make new friends all over the world, attract international attention and possibly win spectacular prizes of up to $10 000 that could make it possible to run, improve or enhance their project.

Groups only have until the end of January 2007 to submit their projects, which they can do by going to the website http://www.volvoadventure.org to register and use the online entry form, or download one of our guidelines in a variety of languages.
