"Integrating Academic & Vocational learning in Renewable Energy / Energy Efficiency at Greenfield Community College"
The RE/EE program at GCC offers a 28-credit certificate, 62-credit A.A. in Liberal Arts RE/EE option, and more than 20 individual courses that can be taken for credit or credit-free. The program was and continues to be co-created through community-wide collaboration between college and secondary educators, more than 40 local businesses, the Franklin/Hampshire Regional Employment Board, non-profits, community-based organizations and planning agencies. It seeks to offer participants the knowledge and skills needed for entry level employment opportunities in the growing RE/EE field. It also strives to provide specific ‘green’ skills and knowledge to
participants already in the building and energy trades as well as for
those interesting pursuing a four-year or professional degree, such as
architecture or landscape design. The diversity of students taking the
courses creates a dynamic learning environment offering many
opportunities for networking. Internships and other job-based relationships with employers contribute directly to student career opportunities. Come hear about this exciting new opportunity at GCC.
The program begins at 4 PM; refreshments at 3:45 PM.
Parking available at the Campus Center Garage.
