The ENERGY STAR Change a Light, Change the World Campaign is a national challenge, beginning October 5, to encourage every American to help change the world, one light, one step at a time. If every U.S. household changed just one light to an ENERGY STAR qualified one, we'd collectively save more than 35 billion pounds of greenhouse gas emissions. That's the environmental equivalent of taking one million cars off the road.
Visit the following website [NOW PDF linked below] to find out how you can:
**Encourage your students and their families to change one light bulb to an energy-efficient compact flourescent bulb.
**Use "Change a Light Change the World" as a classroom exercise by having students "take the pledge" to change a light.
**Provide incentive for improving your school's energy usage.
