BANGOR PUBLIC LIBRARY MARCH 17, 2018, 11:00 AM-12:00 PM
From the web site of the Maine Science Festival: "Hop on board the Mad Science express and get ready for a high speed romp into energy and power! Do the energy hustle as we heat things up with an energy conversion rap that will make you groove. Reach your potential and become ecstatic as we make things fly, spin, and soar. Witness energy conversion in action as you race around the room with your teacher in an energy relay. Do you have the energy for the Mad Science Power Pedaler? We hope so because two lucky volunteers will convert energy into power in the cutting edge demonstration that uses mechanical energy of a bicycle to power a spectacle of light. Sparks fly when you witness a tesla coil light up the room! Convert chemical energy into heat in an explosive exothermic reaction. Witness the potential of sound energy as we use sound waves to make objects defy the laws of gravity. Learn how this technology may be used to make your future hoverboard. This show has the power to convert the energy in your mind into big ideas about the future of energy! Presented by Mad Science of Maine."

Recommended audience: ages 3-10; limited to ~100; first come-first served
