Apply to the Pilot Program—Join the Kaleidoscope Collective for Learning.
This fall, Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) will release the application for the Kaleidoscope Collective for Learning pilot program, which will give individual schools and entire districts the chance to apply to rethink classroom instruction around deeper learning.
If you are a:
*school that wants to push innovations in professional development, instruction, learning spaces, and other areas to improve student outcomes; or
*district interested in pioneering deeper learning strategies such as hands-on instruction, internship programs, and community partnerships;
Please let DESE know if you are interested in joining DESE's deeper learning pilot program.

EnergyTeachers.org (ETO) can collaborate with you to develop deep projects around 21st century issues in science and technology. ETO has been working with schools and teachers since 2004, adding rich topics, activities, and experiences to classrooms. See our Projects link above for some examples.
From the DESE web site: "In the deeper learning model, expert teachers help students demonstrate fluency in a given academic area so that students can identify themselves as participants in and contributors to that area." EnergyTeachers.org helps educators develop activities where students see themselves as creators, agents, and/or scientists.
