Follow up on the treadmill motor

I was thinking about your bike motor/generator. I have a cordless stairmaster that recharges a battery through a board that has a voltage regulator on it. This will basically limit the amount of charge the battery will receive. If you come on friday I could take a cover off and explain how this works. We could find alternators really cheap and wire them up. All of them come with a pulley on them so they're ready to go.
I love working on projects like this and I know you do too. If we come up with ideas I can incorporate them into school projects and maybe even get some interest with the professors.
2 heads are better than one and I actually have the knowledge and resources to get some things done on this end.
