Junior Solar Sprint in 2012 and beyond

Post by shawn »

The US Army, which has funded Junior Solar Sprint in the Northeast for the past several years, has assigned, via the Army’s Youth Science Cooperative Outreach Agreement, an agent at Virginia Tech to identify the next organization, after Northeast Sustainable Energy Association closed its education department, to run JSS.
According to an announcement from the Army, after 2012, the operation of JSS will be assigned to Tech Student Association (TSA).
Questions about the program should be addressed to laurendt@vt.edu.
Northeast coordinators are offered an honorarium to continue the program in 2012. See the following PDF for the source of these details:

EnergyTeachers.org has many JSS materials, contact us for help with curriculum or judging help or workshop help or ideas.
National Renewable Energy Lab has plenty of info on JSS also, and remains the coordinator for many western races:

Contact regional and local coordinators, or TSA, or the VT contact, for organizational information.
