Energy Haiku
Here at EnergyTeachers.org we've developed a writing activity, Energy Haiku. Students, teachers, and anyone interested in energy are welcome to submit short poems about any topic in energy.
Educators are welcome to use this activity in their classrooms, either publishing on our site or using their own venue. One method is to have students write a haiku about anything, just to learn the format; then write a haiku about energy to establish prior knowledge; then learn together or individually about some energy topic(s); then write a final haiku encapsulating their learning.
Authors submitting poems here allow EnergyTeachers.org the right to publish them on this site or in not-for-profit printed matter.
